Edward Alexander is Professor of
English at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, USA, and he
served in the past as Professor of English at Tel-Aviv University. Edward
Alexander's most recent books are, Irving Howe--Socialist, Critic, Jew
(Indiana University Press, 1998) and Classical Liberalism and the Jewish
Tradition (Transaction Publishers, 2002).
