Azriel Lorber
Azriel Lorber holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1974). He served as Head of Aerodynamics and Propulsion in one of the Israeli Military Industries plants (1974-1976). Currently, AL is with the Ministry of Science in the position of Principal Assistant to the Director General
and is a Senior member of the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics).
Dr. Lorber is an expert in the
field of missiles and rocket-powered weaponry. His books include:
Theater Ballistic Missile Defense, edited jointly with Dr. Ben-Zion
Naveh (The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 2001) and
Misguided Weapons – Technological Failure and Surprise on the
Battlefield, (Brassey’s, 2002). His articles on the topic have been
published in Nativ.
